The United States is producing alarming amounts of electronic waste. Every year, the average American throws out over 10 pounds of electronic garbage. People toss out old electronics without realizing that they contain toxic materials such as lead, mercury, and even cadmium which can contaminate soil or water supplies.
E-waste takes up valuable space in landfills. Worse, some materials in electronic devices can pose a danger to human health. If these materials fall into the wrong hands, they can be used to do terrible things.
Electronic waste is a growing problem. It won’t go away soon. E-Waste, which is a growing problem due to the increased use of electronic devices, is expected to continue rising until an effective and feasible solution is found.
The Responsible Electronics Recycling Act, (RERA), is a new law that requires electronic producers to recycle e-waste they generate. Manufacturers will need to pay for the costs of collecting and recycling e-waste from customers who purchase their goods. People will have to pay more for electronics that they don’t want.
Gadget manufacturers and retailers provide trash bins for customers to dispose off their phones and other devices. This allows them to dispose of them legally, safely, and securely. It can be very difficult to drop by designated stores, especially for busy individuals. What often happens is that E-waste ends in landfills. This is dangerous to the environment as well as their health.
Many people are not aware that they can recycle old electronics. We do this after we collect your old electronics. We take them to our EWaste recycling plants. There, metals and other useful parts can be removed. Hazardous and toxic chemicals can then be disposed of in proper manner through incineration or other approved disposal methods. Instead of throwing them into landfills that cost the environment a hefty sum of money to break down, why don’t you call us for our junk removal service and we’ll handle everything else from there?
What can we do?
We will come to your place of business or home to remove all e-waste. Then we will load it in our truck and transport it to an accredited recycling facility. It will then be reduced into raw materials so that it doesn’t end up in a landfill. We may also do other junk removal services such as construction cleanup, full cleanouts, etc. upon request.
By hiring us for junk removal, you are doing more than just helping the environment. You’re also keeping valuable resources out of landfills.
